About Me

I’m Matt, and I work with artificial intelligence and knowledge engineering to tackle real-world problems in chemistry and physics.

I’m passionate about connecting people with technical solutions that can accelerate the development of new science and products.

I also like to take pictures, check out some of my photograpy.

Currently

I’m a postdoctoral researcher at EPFL in the Schwaller Group where I am investigating the applications of machine learning and AI to the design of metal organic frameworks (MOFs) for direct air capture (carbon capture) technologies. More specifically, I use both open source and proprietary LLMs to research and compile MOF knowledge into searchable databases, and build generative models (flow matching, diffusion) to create new and interesting chemical structures.

If you want to see my publications, check out my Google Scholar.
